'Liam Boyd wins the memorial trophy'

Five Lakes played for the Cyril Taylor Memorial Trophy Saturday 9th July, open to both Men and Ladies and played gloriously in summer conditions.

Two players returned nett 70's to be just outside the main prizes Alan Garnett (14) and  Mike Taylor (14), third place went to Sue Butterworth (26) with a nett 69 Sue also picked up the ladies trophy, second place went to Graeme Sinfield (20) with a nett 68, however, outright winner of the competition was Liam Boyd (24) with a magnificent nett 66, Liam also picked up the Division 2 prize along with Colin Carscaden (13) who collected the Division 1, the best gross score went to Chris Hamblion (2) with a 76.

There were four nearest the pin prizes on par 3's, Marin Kemp on the 2nd, Dave Morris on the 7th, Ian McDowell on the 13th and Will Batho on the 17th.
