Jack Continues His Fine Form

Five Lakes premier golfer Jack Garnett has, this week, taken part in the Faldo Series Southern Qualifier at Brocket Hall.

There was a very strong field of 260 in 3 age groups, U16, U18 and U21 with the top 2 in each age group qualifying for the European Final in Abu Dhabi in October.

Rounds 1 & 2 were played on the Melbourne and Palmertstone course with Jack making the cut. The final round was played on the Melbourne course and whilst Jack (by his standards) struggled with his swing he showed great resilience to finish joint 3rd, 2 shots behind the winner at -5.

Jack has therefore qualified for the European Final and is looking forward to competing against Europe’s finest youngsters in the Middle East for what will be a memorable trip for him.  

Jack was disappointed not to win the event after a fabulous 67 on the first day., This just highlights how far the 21-year-old has progressed recently. His dedication is certainly paying off.
