'Tom and James win the Alan Riches Trophy'

Five Lakes held the Alan Riches Memorial Trophy Saturday 18th May.

This competition open to all club members, Ladies, Men's and Juniors always attracts a large field to pay respect to Alan who served the club so well as Captain and President.

Tom Arrowsmith (5) and James Adams (12) narrowly beating Neil Shinwell (10) and Frank Taylor (14) on countback to claim the Trophy with 43 Stableford points.

Third place with 42 points was father and son partnership of John (14)and David Rogers (5) who in turn beat Craig Skinner (12) and David Cawtheray (13) on countback making one point difference between the first four places.

Another two teams returned 41 points to be just outside the main prizes, Graeme Sinfield and Doug Wood along with Alex Law and Ian Kirkman.

Six players won balls for two's on the par 3's, Adam Rutter with two on both the 8th and 11th holes, David Rogers and Neil Devonish also on the 8th, Patrick McSweeney and Malcolm Pook on the 11th and Vice Captain Clive Weir on the long 11th.
