Local Rules

1. OUT OF BOUNDS (RULE 18.2)
a. In or over boundary hedges or fences
b. On or beyond line of (non-removable) white stakes bordering course or practice area.
c. Into the hotel grounds (on or over the building perimeter road).
2. OBSTRUCTIONS
Movable (Rule 15.2) Natural and artificial objects not treated as part of the challenge of playing the course including all fixtures & items designed to be removed and can be moved with reasonable effort.
Immovable (Rule 16.1) Items not treated as part of the challenge of playing the course, and free relief is generally allowed (except in a Penalty Area), including all fixtures & structures that were designed to be fixed and cannot be moved with reasonable effort.
a. E.G. Sprinkler heads, pipe junction & valve control boxes, waste bins, ball washers and their bases, all benches & bases, illustrated tee boards, drains in bunkers, bell on 5th hole, pump house, wet weather shelter, starter’s hut, flagpole, notice board and yardage stones etc.
b. Staked trees (WITH supporting stake) are Immovable Obstructions.
c. The old concrete bridges half way down 15th fairway are immovable obstructions.
d. A ball striking any overhead electric cable MUST be replayed without penalty.
3. PENALTY AREAS (RULE 17.1)
All Penalty Areas are defined by Yellow posts and all Lateral Penalty Areas have their margins defined by Red posts. Please replace posts in their sockets if removed.
4. ROADS AND PATHS (RULE 16.1)
The old railway track from behind the 3rd tee to the church, all bridge approach matting and all paths & buggy paths in the General Area are Immovable Obstructions.
5. ABNORMAL COURSE CONDITIONS (RULE 16.1)
a. Piles of grass cuttings and ground workings left by Greenkeepers.
b. Sunken drainage channels and irrigation pipe trenches.
Any Additional Local Rules due to adverse weather conditions will be displayed on the Clubhouse Notice Board when applicable.
ETIQUETTE:
Please play READY GOLF and if a match fails to keep its place on the course, or loses more than one clear hole on players in front, the following match must be invited through. Players in Competitions and Matches must be given priority at all times.
Please replace divots, repair pitch marks on the greens and smooth sand in bunkers.
GREENKEEPERS AND STAFF HAVE RIGHT OF WAY AT ALL TIMES.
